How to Propose a Seminar

Faculty interested in proposing a Freshman Seminar should examine the syllabus template and sample syllabi and the seminar guidelines. Prior to submitting a proposal, faculty are also encouraged to contact Jessica Mercerhill to discuss the seminar, 614-292-6248, mercerhill.1@osu.edu.

To submit a Freshman Seminar Proposal, please email or mail a draft syllabus and proposal form to Jessica Mercerhill, 4132 Smith Laboratory, 174 W. 18th Avenue.

Proposal Deadlines:
The proposal deadline has changed. Proposals are now due on a quarterly basis the year before the seminar will be taught.

Seminars to be taught Autumn Quarter are due December 1; Winter Quarter due March 1; Spring Seminars are due June 1.
